Abstract
The paper reports initial findings of a series of studies, including a national longitudinal survey of major Australian advertisers, which attempts to empirically answer the question : «Does the traditional disconfirmation paradigm apply in the purchase of advertising creative services ?» The findings of two preliminary studies suggest a set of elements for inclusion in measurement of advertiser expectations and performance with these distinctive products. Incorporation of measurement of specific dimensions of process and outcome into a disconfirmation based model of customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction seems supported by factor analysis and empirical analysis of path models.
